The CM7 was development began from the original Colt rifle design to compete in the U.S. Army’s Compact Semi-Automatic Sniper System (CSASS) trials. Utilizing Colt’s base 901 platform, with its’ standard ambidextrous fire control systems, MLOK upper receiver. The CM7 is a formidable tool for today’s small unit tactical military sniper or mid-range designated marksman. It is also capable of being fired utilizing a sound suppressor with both supersonic and sub-sonic ammunition at the press of a button thanks to the integrated dual position, low profile gas block. When combined with Colt’s proprietary conversion kit, the CM7 is capable of receiving new and legacy Colt 5.56x45MM NATO, 7.62x39MM and .300 Blackout upper receivers on its stock lower receiver, effectively making it capable of becoming 4 rifles in 1, for ease of adaptability in any mission scenario, offering superior medium to long range performance and versatility on today’s battlefield.
