<ol>
<li>DC Inverter Charger PSU: With the Base Station Inverter Charger PSU unit installed, the base station operates directly off the 24V DC batteries while the Inverter will provide uninterrupted 240 AC ( 1000VA) to other devices in the command and control room, such as PC’s, Monitors, cellphone and night vision devices, etc. At the same time, the batteries will be charged by the AC charger or the DC/SOLAR charger whichever is available at any given time.</li>
<li>DC-Direct: In the event none of the above power resolutions are available, the Afracal2 Vehicle Station can be operated from any Vehicle/Truck battery system, 12V or 24V.

<li>It is HIGHLY recommended to implement the Sat-Com Vehicle Voltage Monitor (VVM) to automatically disconnect the load from the vehicle battery before the vehicle battery is discharged beyond the capability to start the vehicle.</li>

Legacy equipment procured through the various forces budgets created interoperability constraints and even within one of the forces, it is not uncommon to find rigid, limited, and uncompromising equipment in use.]]></description>
										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Some real-life Military Communications limitations:</strong></p>
<p>A particular brand installed in a vehicle can not be extracted and utilized as a manpack on the move when a vehicle is compromised leaving men without communications, naval vessels sinking with communications equipment leaving sailors stranded in lifeboats since the equipment is rack-mounted, etc.</p>
<p>Missions change, conditions change, and the flexibility to redeploy units are subject to the communications equipment in hand.  Moving out of the VHF range necessitated by changing conditions without having HF radios will compromise men and equipment.  The need to communicate to aircraft from the ground for supplies, evacuation, or air support may arise during changing conditions.  Without GTA capability, such missions will be compromised, and loss of men and equipment will occur.</p>
<p>Planning missions that include different forces such as the Army, The Air Force, and the Navy, each with different manufacturers of equipment is a reality and a serious limitation.  The security level and reliability of communications of such combined forces operations are by default determined by the weakest link in the forces.</p>
<p>One force may have the highest level of COMSEC and TRANSEC, but the moment they need to communicate to the next which may have little or no security, the entire mission is compromised.</p>
<p>Traditionally these challenges were created through the necessity to procure communications equipment with limited operational capabilities.  Single-band, single-role radios, different and limited ranges each with different COMSEC and TRANSEC capabilities create endless restrictions, and the general solution required enormous doubling up of equipment to cover unavoidable shortcomings.</p>
<p>This inevitably results in the need for the Army Soldier to carry on patrol an HF and a VHF radio, and frequently also an airband radio.</p>
<p>It is well known, that <strong>weight, volume, and complexity in operations</strong> are undesirable additions to soldiers operating in dangerous conditions.</p>
<p>Mobile units may have it all covered until the vehicle is compromised and the crew needs to evacuate and fixed-mobile radios are then of no use.  If they do not carry any HF, VHF, and Airband Man portables in the vehicle, the crew&#8217;s safety, equipment, and mission are compromised.</p>
<p>THE SOLUTION:</p>
<p>Utilizing flexible Multi-Band, Multi-Role radios throughout forces will ensure everybody can communicate with everybody else under most conditions utilizing ONE radio which offers many advantages.</p>
<ul>
<li>Using the same Transceiver (SDR TRANSCEIVER) for Man-Pack, Base, Mobile, Repeater, Re-Bro stations as well as the exciter for the 125W Power Amplifier, 1000W High Power Amplifier, 200W GTA and Naval Applications minimizes the number of equipment the operators needs to master and manage, the number of spares required, training required and simplify stock management and maintenance.</li>
<li>Commanders will value such capabilities knowing, no matter whichever way they need to redeploy, their units will be capable of communicating on land, sea, and air on short, medium, and long distances to provide situation reports, receive updated mission instructions to ensure missions are completed at a very high success rate, lowest fatalities, and least equipment losses.</li>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The LIGHT-PROT-250W (LSP) covers a wide frequency range spanning from DC to 512MHz and has a power handling capacity of 250W.<br />
The LSP is purpose-built to safeguard critical RF equipment from potentially damaging lightning-induced surges.</p>
<p>Featuring advanced gas discharge surge protection technology, the LIGHT-PROT-250W effectively diverts power surges away from sensitive RF components, ensuring their uninterrupted<br />
operation and preserving their integrity.</p>
<p>The compact and durable design allows for seamless integration into various RF applications.</p>
<p>It sold in a kit form which includes the LSP, 10m jumper cable, and a 5m earth cable.</p>
<p>During installation, the exiting antenna feeder is removed from the radio or RF amplifier and installed onto one side of the LSP, and the 10m jumper is installed on the other side, and then the jumper is installed onto the Radio or RF Amplifier.  One side of the earth cable is installed onto the earth bolt and tightened with the brass wing nut, and the other side is installed onto an earth point or earth mat.</p>

<p>Personalized camouflage patterns can be used provided a sufficient qty of orders is placed to warrant the scale of economics as suppliers have minimum order quantities in the order of km’s.<br />
For smaller quantities, the rucksacks are usually provided in unicolor such as Olive Drab, Desert Tan, or Brown.</p>
<p>The normal rucksack configuration has on the rear a radio pouch with velcro flaps to open for extending the antenna and handset to use on the move.<br />
Next to that, there is a pouch for extra additional antenna and a spare battery pouch below.<br />
On the belt there are normally provisions for 2 x Army-style water bottles and 2 x Ammunition magazine pouches, typically to fit AK47-style magazines.<br />
D-rings on the front allow for clipping on equipment.<br />
Any personalized configuration can be manufactured based on end-user requirements and equipment dimensions.</p>
